Romanticizing Kingdom

Yes, I have romantic feelings about life, history, and the future.

From an early childhood, fascinated by Plato’s Republic, Alexander’s spreading of Athenian knowledge, the enlightenment era of Islam, and the never-setting sun of the English Empire.

Dune. The ring bearers. Hogwarts.

I believe.
And why not? Why the fuck not?
What are our options? Believing in magic, or living the mundane?

No doubt, this belief is in the fabric of PD.

We play for keeps, and we ain’t f’n play’n son.

Peter Parker. Bruce Wayne. Kal El.

Why can’t we assume our Superhero Personas?
Why not live an epic life?
Why not be legendary?

We can all be legendary, living epic lives, experiencing the world as superheroes.

We play for keeps, ninja. And we ain’t fuck’n play’n son.

The empire. Led by a worthy servant council.

And you?
And they?

Our allegiance is to PD and those under the PD umbrella. First and foremost. Outside of PD is to serve those who need it most. Children who deserve and yearn for higher and higher education.

We build libraries and publish books.

We strive to be a PD that is inclusive and welcoming to your families and communities. Your auntie, your cousin, our children’s children.

And why not strive for such a thing?
What are our options, the mundane? The ordinary? The mediocre?

Of course, we have a duty and responsibility to those at PD first.

My position, my perspective.

Time is limited. Time is finite. Time is running out. I have less and less desire for traditional fun and relationships. I find fullness and fulfillment in serving those at PD, and making cool shit with PDTrs. Someone at PD coined this, and I wish I knew who. Perhaps it’s better that I don’t, and that it simply lives on, rising from the collective spirit of PD. This, I refer to, is the saying, “PD for all.”

PD For All

Yes, indeed. With a caveat. PD for all who serve PD.

It is not for the wicked or the corrupt, the lazy, or the mediocre.

It is for PDTers and the greater good of humanity, raising our collective I+A.

And at some point, perhaps after a few months or years, perhaps immediately upon entering HQ for the first time as Trevor did, you may believe: This, right here, is my home away from home…

Your castle. Your kingdom. Your empire. The place that will outlast you, the place that you can bring your kids, and their kids, too. The place that will forever serve your interests and support your dreams. Within reason, of course, and not ever at the cost of the collective and the country.
