There’s a bias that we can’t scale if we attempt to keep our current culture intact.
This bias is based on people’s understanding of what cultural norms are.
We, PD, are not a ‘normal culture’ because we’re in Toronto. We’re being assessed based on the norms of industries in Toronto.
Certain cultural artifacts, however odd or weird, are not abnormal around the world.
If this is true, we need to find employees who appreciate this culture and don’t need or want it to change.
